Note: I faved this image of a Statue of the Egyptian cat god Bastet last night...sadly it turns out my cat died the next day, that is today, September 25, 2012. (whose to say it was not everyone's cat who died this morning...) He was struck by a Suzuki as he leapt across the street and into----Infinity!...Oh! But he was such a lovely cat, I called him Happy Cat (because he was!), sometimes Gummy Bear, or Roberto or any name I could find ---- He was an orphan but came to have a very fortunate life thanks to my loving, caring parents... Well, this is not much of an ode but I will say he still sleeps underneath the maple tree...he was sweet and gentle and --very wild...he climbed trees - a daring little alpiniste, a free-spirit for sure....he brought great comfort to us while he lived---Perhaps you are with Bastet now----through the ages and still with us! Adieu, Good Cat! On to your next adventure you go...

Maria,I'm very sorry for you and your cat.In ancient Egypt, when a cat died a natural death, the whole family shaved off his hair. The killing of a cat was punishable by death,Suzuki lucky that he now lives, though who do not realize.
